The cylinders I was speaking of are both the Edison cylinders and one
other brand which escapes my memory. Edison cylinders, according to Dr.
Stanford, are 4.5 minutes in length - at least the ones he has
(approximately 100 or so). Apparently (that is, if I was paying close
enough attention) the cylinders ran at different lengths depending on what
kind - there were several different types of Edison cylinders.
