I'm a principal klarinet player in a Dutch band and I'm doing some repair
work on klarinets. Most of the work is'nt very difficult but now there is a
student of the band and he brought an old Buffet Crampon and complained that
the parts wiggle when played. I thought there will be some of you who
recognice this problem and can give some good advice on how the problem can
be handled. I made a drawing and attached it as a bitmap with this message.
I hope a lot of you can handle this attachments and the bitmap.
Ther is another question that puzzles me. As a band we have to buy several
new klarinets. What are the things we have to considder when buing five or
six new instruments?
We don't want to make price the most importend thing. Sound is very
importend. Whe do have a few good Leblanc and Buffet Crampon instrument.
Any comment is welcome and thank you in advance !!
