Without the sliver key, you can play the Bb using the RH 1st side key and
trill to C with the LH index and middle fingers. Moving two fingers
instead of three seems to make it "manageable" for me. This seems to work
as well as your suggestion on my R13s.

This works quite well for F#-G#. Another possibility is to play the F#
using the LH middle finger instead of the index finger and trilling to G#
with the index finger. These are both good trills and allow some choice
based on what precedes and follows the trill.
