Ohmygod! Is this REALLY a good idea, or are we going to spark more wars??
All of this stuff is personal preference, but here's my opinion:
1. Rubank, or a book called Take Up the Clarinet that's widely used here in
NZ - I teach from it and find it to be well-paced and thought out.
2. Buffet sopranos, Selmer basses
3. Vandoren V-12
4. KV622, Weber number 1, Weber Grand Duo Concertant, Brahms sonatas
5. Best chamber music piece: Brahms trio and quintet, Mozart quintet.
6. Most fun orchestral clarinet part: Nutcracker ballet, John Ritchie's
"Papanui Rd Overture", bass clarinet part in Khachaturian piano concerto.
