Since there was mention of the slur in Brahms Sonate #1, at the very
beginning. I would like to mention one fingering that I use for the high
Eb (in that context)

When playing the Left hand C, keep that key down and finger the middle
ring of the Right hand.
No added other key. That gives a fairly good Eb in context. I don't know
if I would use it in other cases.
