I have a book called "Recital Literature for the Clarinet" Volume I ,
compiled and edited by William H. Stubbins - Published by
George Wahr Publishing Co, Ann Arbor, MI in 1957.
In it are 12 pieces that I haven't seen mentioned yet (by Akimenko,
Auzende, Barat, Boisdeffre, Busoni, Desportes, etc, etc) I used them in
college 30 years ago and don't know if they're still available. There's
some challenging stuff in there (way more than the Weber Concertino...)
Some of them have been used as contest pieces at the Paris Conservatory -
not that I ever played any of them to my teacher's satisfaction - or more
importantly - my own. Anyway, it's different stuff you can look for.
