Seems silly not to have duplicates for all of the little finger keys.

I'm not so sure about this. My teacher's bass has the LH Ab/Eb key, and she
says it's nothing but a pain. Because we're all so used to working around
that fingering, the key never gets used, except in passages where you would
otherwise have to slide (Weber Grand Duo Concertant, 1st mvt, just after the
2nd time bar is a good example of this; also the Brahms "St Anthony Chorale"
variations, 1st clarinet part, 2nd to last variation if my memory serves me
correctly!). She also said that it gets in the way - you hit it when you're
going for another key, and get the wrong note. Personally I get on fine
without it!
