If you like products along the Rico line (Mitchell Luries are manufactured by
Rico), go for the professional Grand Concert Select, and Grand Concert Select
Thick. Or try Mitchell Lurie Premiums. Or you can go for Vandoren reeds. as
far as strength goes, that depends on your mouthpiece. If 3 1/2s worked good
as far as strength, experiment around in that area. Maybe try a 4 or a 3, as
well as 3 1/2, and see what strength of whatever type of reed you use works
best for you so that you have good intonation, etc.
