Hmm... I didn't claim to be a physics expert.

I gave up physics a long time ago to be a clarinet player. But one of the
more fun things I did in that previous life was a year-long thesis on the ole'
clarinet steady-state wave patterns. However... I can't believe that you'd
really want a page full of formulas! (I certainly wouldn't.) Nor do I feel a
need to "prove" myself.

If my statement that one tone hole less on a clarinet could never be heard by
a listener needs to be proven to you to be valid, then by all means we'll ask
Mr Cohler. :)
