Funny thing, I just got a contemporary piece asking for an E above the
normal altissimo one (on third ledger line above staff). Makes me think of
the phrase "stupid clarinet tricks"! With that thought, what are other
people's silliest-ever clarinet situations? (once had a stage director
suggest he might do a piece where I'd have to run out on stage playing and
do a backflip! Pity that piece didn't happen...)
