You can't "prevent" tendonitis any more than you can "prevent" a gunshot
wound. It's an injury to the connective tissues on a joint, and the only
possible way to avoid tendonitis is not to overwork the joint...>
Given the suggestions from others to make sure your hands are correctly
aligned, minimum stress, etc., I would say that it is clearly possible, if not
"prevent" tendonitis (after all, there's not much you have total control over)
to substantially reduce the likelihood that you will get it.
