repetitive strain (or stress) injury
a common problem suffered by typists, programmers, and the like.
unlike tendonitis, once you have it, you've got it for life, and it's
*very* disabling. the symptoms are very similar to tendonitis in the
wrists, which is why i was wittering about it...
