I've had Wrist Tenosynovitis (inflammation of the tendon sheath - worse then
CTS), and for that, I couldn't play even the Sax, more or less Bass
Clarinet as
the stretch hurt way too much. Time is measured in months, not weeks for that
kind of problem. I wouldn't play Eb Clarinet (very small finger position, can
also stress the wrist), nor any other Clarinet until your in better shape with
your wrists. It sound to me (I saw you at Clar Fest) that it is CTS. Have your
Doctor refer you to a Orthopedist who specializes in the Hand. They can do
nerve conduction studies that will determine if you have CTS, or what. It can
get bad to the point that Clarinet is an afterthought. Have food in your
stomach when you take the Motrin.

I hope that you enjoyed clarinetfest as I did.(^-^) Here are a few
suggestions that might help with your tendinitis, that worked with me
when I had a mild strain a year ago:
1) Go see a physical therapist anyway, if you wait it may hurt alot more
financially and physically later on.
2) Excercise your muscles! Run, lift weights, however start slow or else
you will hurt yourself even more.
3) Try practicing with a bass clarinet, because you will learn a new
clarinet and it will help develope those muscles in the wrist and arm.
4) Take lots of breaks when practicing. That should be a general rule for
everyone.
Hope ths helps. Cheers.
