or go for broke and try and get hold of an aflat.
i tried one of these just recently and had no difficulty holding it (i
normally play with splints on, and a neckstrap). i couldn't get my
fingers round it properly (but then the arthritis does make me a bit
clumsy), and kept feeling it was going to disappear up my nose...
