Yes - it was fascinating, and because the speaker scheduled immediately
following cancelled, Steve was able to have an extended question and answer
period. For those of you not there, Steve Fox's talk was about clarinet
bores. He had a demonstration of two clarinets - one French, one German
bore. Identical manufacuter (Steve) identical player (Colin Savage),
identical mouthpiece and reed. There was a noticable difference in sound,
explained by the shape of the bore. This adds an interesting dimension to
the discussion about "that dark German sound".
