I guess you haven't looked at any Rico reeds lately. They ALL are marked
on the back "V-2" or "V-3 1/2" or whatever. Maybe there WAS another style
once. The wood-grain boxes didn't go out THAT long ago. Probably not more
than 10, but I can't be sure. They have pretty much always, at least in my
lifetime, been entry-level reeds, but that does not in any way negate their
right to a little advertising hype on the box.
