I bought a Buffet R-13 Eb about four years ago, and it has the very same
problem. The Bb3 is especially high, and the key that opens the tone hole
has some tape under it (put there by the tech that tested it) to stop it
from opening fully! (I've just never taken it in to be adjusted 'cause I
don't use it that much.) It is my understanding that the tone holes can
be altered if the pitch is high, but not if it's flat, or not as easily
anyway. Perhaps Mr. Kloc can be of assistance in this! Good luck -- I'll
keep watching this thread to see if I can get my horn fixed too!
