If the whole horn is spitty sounding, I suck out the moisture through the
mouthpiece. If there is an individual pad giving me grief, I try to blow it
out. Sucking in spit is downright gross. If blowing out the spit doesn't
work, then I put my silk swab between the pad and the hole and blot it out.
Works for me. I don't even have to worry about buying cigarette paper then.
