This is a fantastic and fascinating discussion on "to vibrato or not to =
vibrato" and on pre-18th century musical techniques in general.

For those of you who like to think along philosophical lines on this =
subject, I HIGHLY suggest getting your hands on a copy of Harold Bloom's =
The Anxiety of Influence (a revised edition was published in paperback =
last year, and if it's not on the shelf of your local bookstore, can be =
ordered easily). Bloom's theories are is directed at literature, but =
apply equally to all creative areas. It'll stretch your brain a little =
when thinking about how we honor (or not!) the "classics" and the accepted =
techniques, and why. Have fun. ;)
