You have the newer model, its been out at least for a couple of years and if
you bought it from Ben 1 year ago you should have the new one. I rely on it
but recently sold mine (I had the older model) while I was giving master
classes in China. As soon as I got back to the US I called Ben and he sent
me the new model. I was discouraged and felt that the older model added
more life to the reed. I have spoken to him several times about this and he
maintains that virtually everybody likes the new model better.

Thanks for the response but it didn't really answer what I was after. I
need somebody who has used both the old and the new.
