I find that the Mozart Concerto sounds much better if some extra tounging is
added; it helps to gently toungue or flutter tongue some of the long slurred
lines (listen to "Richard Stolzman: The Essential Clarinet-Mozart" from
RCA-Victor and BMG Classics). It adds a certain air of perkiness to
sections that often sound "flat" or slightly dull. Also; dare I speak the
evil, try a little bit of vibrato on the dolce sections, see if you like the
sound there... Just some things I like to do with the piece...
