Definitely talk to the financial aid department at North Texas (or
whereever) - schools frequently have short-term emergency loans
available for students. I had to use one during my graduate school
time when departmental funding fell through and there was a gap
before a regular student loan came through.
Another resource is the internet itself - several schools link
their web site to sites that list funding opportunities for students.
There are a lot of resources out there (some are rip-offs (or nearly
so), but they are outnumbered by the real ones - just apply some
common sense and you should find what you need).
Regarding motivation and practicing - those both take energy that
is currently required for you to deal with what life has handed you.
It's clear that you love the clarinet - you'll get back to
"productive" practicing when you have the energy to. In the
meantime, play whatever you feel like (whether its what you are
"supposed" to be doing) and take care of yourself (sleep, etc...)
(all those good advice things people have already said).
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
