Some questions born of idle curiousity:

Does anyone know what C. Rose's first name was? (I was wondering if it were
Carl, on the almost certainly mistaken notion that clarinet players in old
times were often named Carl.)
Also, does anyone know what kind of clarinet he most likely used? How many
keys, etc.
I'm sure I could find out for myself but I'm a bit lazy and hope that this
will be quicker.

Alexis
