As of today, everyone who sent an application for the clarinet choirs
at Clarinet-Fest has been mailed a confirmation with at tentative
schedule and a confirmation of which instrument (like B-flat, bass,
etc) he or she is to play. A mailing went out on Thursday, and a
second wave is in today's mail. So if you had mailed yours in over
ten days ago and have not heard already, I'd welcome an e-mail at
NGSH50A@-----. In fact, the
parts have been duplicated and I'm putting parts in the mail to those
who sent me envelopes in tomorrow's mail.

There will be a high school group which will meet first on Tuesday
evening, dinner hour. Any high school student or recent graduate may
participate, even if an enrollment has not yet been sent in.

As to the Participants' group (college, professional, and basically
anyone over high school age) our first meeting is Wednesday evening.
Check your packet at registration for "all the news that's fit to
print" from me and you'll know, well, all the news that's fit to
print! Plan to get there early, 'cause it's a BIG group!

Literature you ask? Obscure composers mostly--Haydn, Ravel,
Ellington. We'll have a little flexibility.

Would I please please let you play alto clarinet? Absolutley!!
Would love you have you play alto clarinet, even if you don't own one
of your own! Let me know that you can do this and I'll count on you.
Just bring your own reeds.

Looking forward to making some fine music with you all.
