You've gotten lots of good advice, but I'd like to point out one
additional thing: You are not locked into a career no matter
what degree and how much schooling you go through to get there! There
is no way to REALLY know if you want to do law (or whatever field)
until you get out there and try it (out of my graduate school
buddies, more than half of those that _completed_ the Ph.D. are no
longer in science (after spending 6 - 7 years earning the doctorate,
going into debt, they found that this was not the career for them)).
You are right about one thing: it may not be right for you; *BUT*
that doesn't mean you have to live your entire life in a career you
hate just because you thought it was right for you when you were 21.
We recently had several posting regarding people who were thinking of
changing tracks and switching to music. Yes, age can make it more
difficult to switch, but more difficult is not impossible.
