I used to live in Oregon, and the repair tech for the Oregon Symphony was
my teacher. His name is Dick Boberg, and the shop is called Woodwind
Repairs, in Beaverton. There are quite a few shops that will do a repad,
but they typically don't know what they are doing. Dick is a pretty
honest guy and will do what needs to be done quite well. Sometimes he is
really busy, so make sure you ask about turnaround time before it is sent
in, but it shouldn't be anywhere close to 6 months! Good grief!
