I bought my A when I entered college and found others to use before that.
Either through my school or the orginization I was playing with. I am
going to be a sophmore, so I bought mine less than a year ago. I think
that if you are sure that you are going to go into music and you have the
cash--do it. It is a real pain to keep switching instruments if you are
borrowing, and sometimes impossible! I agree with people when they say to
look for quality and be careful, though. I took my lesson teacher with me
to look for one. You will use this A alot more than you think!
Good luck.
