Dear List,
I am currently a Senior in High School, and am ready to start
applying to colleges and to Schools of Music. I am sure that I have
enough talent to get my self a scholarship to a good University ( namely
Stetson) with some degree of work, but I am not majoring in music, so....
how likely is it for a NON-music major ( music Minor, perhaps) to get a
large, or even existant scholarship for music? Also, when is a good time
to begin auditions to Uniersities? I am actually considering law,
corporate to be exact, and I really think that Stetson University (
Deland, Fl.) is the best choice, unless anyonw out there knows of some
where better that is in demand for Clarinetists. Well, my point is, I
will be stuck going to UF if I can't a scholarship to somewhere
else...and I was just wondering the probability of that...Thank you.
