From: "Mark Charette" <charette@-----.org> Subj: [kl] Thanks George! Date: Sat, 20 Jun 1998 15:52:06 -0400
I thought I'd make a public thank you to George Klimowicz over
http://www.execpc.com/~klimowic for his help in getting a couple of MIDI
files for us. My wife roped my son into entertaining at a party this
afternoon, but my son needed an accompanist for his pieces, something we
couldn't find at short notice. I figured we could make do with MIDI put onto
a cassette tape. I found acceptable MIDIs for Schumann, Saint-Saens, and a
few others, but couldn't find the Poulenc Sonata or Lutoslawski Dance
Preludes. George was kind enough to provide both the Poulenc & Lutoslawski
pieces for us on short notice!
Visit George's site & take a look at what he has there. A really nice
selection of pieces on MIDI. Like Oliver Seely's fine collection - a bit of
editing for tempo & dynamics to suit yourself and voila! - instant
accompanist.
Now - off to the party!
