I agree, Zonda's are the only reed I use. When I first changed from V-12 I
did feel that the Zonda reed didn't have the substance in tone and missed a
resistance in the blowing. However after a few concerts I realized that I
didn't have to worry about the tone speaking at any dynamic when I used
Zonda. The reeds also seem to be better balanced and there is a greater
amount of air that gets through the bore of the clarinet.

Even though the tone might seem thinner to me it doesn't sound that way when
I listen to playbacks, and the people that I play with are like the sound.
I use 2.5, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0. Try doing this, remember the thickness of the
cane is about the same with all of these, but the quality and density of
cane will be different.
