Please include this on the regular list, which isn't all that crowded of
late. Many of us contemplate making our own reeds at some time, so go for
it! I doubt we will use as much bandwidth as was used for marching bands.

Besides, you did point out, "My questions are not the kind that are
answered by any of the various reed-making literature (most of which I
have)". Since you can't find "esoteric minutiae" about this
clarinet-related topic elsewhere, isn't this list the place for it?
