I see and agree with your point- but THIS teacher CAN sing. Her physical
ability to do so has failed, but (to repeat my belief as to what makes a
great player great), her ability comes from within, and she still has that.
She KNOWS how to and has experienced making great music. My
interpretation of "If you can't play" is a person who never had the talent
to achieve a high level ability.
