I have two turntable/changers devoted just to playing my 10-11 feet of
78's: a Garrard 4-speed which is part of a KLH Model 11 portable stereo (I
bought it in 1970), and a Dual 1218 3-speed. Dual still makes a turntable
with the 78 speed, but it is a little pricey. I use Pickering V-15
cartridges because that's what is in the KLH and 78 stylii are available.
I believe one or more Shure models have a 78 stylus available also. My
newer Kenwood direct drive turntable handles my mere 3 feet of LP's with a
Shure V15 RS (Radio Shack).

Around here there are ads in the paper every week selling turntables,
ranging from $5 to $75.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is too loud.
