There is a book by Alfred Oublishing Company called "Dixieland: Improvise in
the Traditional Dixieland Style!" by Michael Garson. It comes with Alfred
Solo Tracks - meaning, you get a tape to perform with a Dixieland band! One
side has it with clarinet, the other side without. (Kinda like Music Minus
One) The music basically has the lead trumpet part to play if you wish, and
chord progressions for solos. There are also a few songs where the clarinet
part is actually written out so you play in harmony with the trumpet. The
songs included are: "When the Saints Go marching In," "Sweet Baby Pie," "You
Stole My Heart Away," "Sushi, Sushi, Sue," "Good-Bye, Just For Now," "Kick Up
Your Heels," "Wake Up and Smile," "Talk Amongst Yourselves," "Bill Bailey,
Won't You Please Come Home," and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic."
It is a great book, and I recommend it highly!
