But Bill, have you ever played it on the neglected members of the woodwind
family: the waxed-paper-covered comb, the empty jug, or the washboard
(actually a member of the percussion family, but we'll make an exception.)
Surely, if waxed paper came in different thicknesses, or "strengths", as it
were, one could get a brighter or darker sound as the part called for.
However, I was nearly tossed out of the local supermarket for going through
all those boxes of waxed paper looking for the perfect one, so be careful.
