But Chris, as I recall, you're about 16 years old. Wait till you're
three times that age :-).

Actually, for those sick and tired of the chestnuts, a very useful
remedy (or at least a treatment), since there's no way in h*** you're
going to avoid playing them, is to start playing other instruments.
I've done the Holst Suites on Bb, alto, & bass clarinets, alto sax and
bari sax at one time or another over the (many) years, and even got to
conduct a movement once. Playing other parts gives you a whole new
perspective on any piece of music, if you can manage to do it. You'll be
amazed at how different and how much more complete the experience is.
