I've noticed many discrepencies between Leblanc's catalogues, and some music
store catalogues (such as WW & BW, and International Musical Suppliers). They
add their own words from time to time, stuff not even mentioned in leblanc's
catalogue. It was said earlier that Leblanc called the Concerto brighter than
the Opus, even though the design was supoosedly "the same", but the Int.
Musical Suppl. called the Concerto brighter than the Opus, not Leblanc's main
catalogue.
Leblanc, I agree, has a few weird interpretations on SOME of their models, but
they are rather tamer than what most people are complaining of. In a way, I
feel bad that they had to stoop a little low to bring back more people. I
mean, I think we can all safely admit that Buffet was promenaded around as if
there was no other horn to play up till very recently. So I'm happy that
other brands of horns are gaining good reputations. Now we have more
variations in personal sound!
Once again, I sincerely hope my expressing my opinions does not offend anyone.
Respectfully,
Chris Hoffman
