My annoyance was directed at those whose chose to go beyond the question of
the band director's judgment, assuming it was bad, and using that as an
excuse to paint the military generally as stupid and wasteful. I find
stereotyping distasteful, especially the gratuitous kind...even when
directed at musicians...which it frequently is!. FSS
