Dear klarinet members,

For any of you who may have attended the 1998 Oklahoma Clarinet Symposium a
few
weeks ago, I'd like to leave this information for you. This is in reference
to one of the
pieces I performed on my recital on May 31st - there seems to have been some
confusion as to its availability to the general public, and I would like to
take this
opportunity to clear things up.

"Comedie Chalumeau" for two clarinets by Randall Snyder is available through
the
following publisher: Howard J. Buss Publications 4311 Braemar Avenue
Lakeland, FL
33813 USA $8.50 Add $3.50 for shipping in the USA and Canada and 6% tax
for

For those of you who may not have attended the OCS and are curious about
this piece,
"Comedie Chalumeau" is described as "...an irreverent duo written as a
wedding present
for clarinetists Laura and Brent Beech. It is a five-minute romp through
argumentative
counterpoint interrupted by humorous quotes from the literature. The work
presents
the two friendly adversaries with plenty of rhythmic and dynamic
challenges." The
length of the work is 5 minutes. For those of you interested in new music
