I'm told that the old Evette "Master Model" was nothing more (or less) than
an R-13 that had a blemish or 2. A couple of friends of mine have used them
for 20+ years; I can't tell the difference from an R-13.

This assumes that the "scrap" items aren't to some extent rebranded and
sold at a lower price as a "cheaper model".....
