A look at the serial number should help, of course--but I'll take a wild
guess that what you have is a Bundy. After Selmer bought the Buescher
company, they used the Buescher tooling to make the Bundy saxophone. They
also marketed student horns (including but not limited to the infamous
Resonate clarinet) under the Buescher nameplate.

Subject: [kl] Buescher bass clarinet

As the swansong of an out-of-control eBay habit that I have only
just reined in, I purchased a wooden Buescher bass clarinet. I
don't know what to expect, and would be interested in getting
some feedback. Buescher is a respected name in saxophone
manufacture, of course, but I was rather surprised to learn that
the company even made clarinets. Do I have any hope of having
purchased a decent horn? (I do not know the serial number yet,
by the way.)

Thanks,
Michael McDonald
