+AHw-This assumes that the +ACI-scrap+ACI- items aren't to some extent rebranded and
+AHw-sold at a lower price as a +ACI-cheaper model+ACI-.....
+AHw-Roger Shilcock

That is most likely what they do, or they could get even more money by
labeling it a +ACI-minor imperfection+ACI- and selling it on the +ACI-B-instrument+ACI- list
for +ACQ-50 -+ACQ-100 cheaper than the actual all tests passed instrument, but I
certainly hope that they would only even consider putting it on the market
if it's just cosmetic.

If there's something seriously wrong with the horn, I wouldn't want to be
the sucker who buys that lemon, and i'm sure it wouldn't be great PR either.

Which gets me wondering... does Boosey/Buffet ever use +ACI-bad+ACI- newly made
clarinets/oboes and recycle them into Greenlines, or are Greenlines strictly
with older, unusable clarinets? and does anyone know whether the other
Clarinet manufacturers sell their Grenadilla scrap to Buffet to make
greenlines?
