Just to play devil's advocate for a moment - why would you replace a top
of the line pro horn (albeit a little old) with a new 2nd line
instrument? I know of a famous clarinetist/recording artist who plays a
Centered Tone, with an RIA mpc (crystal) and sounds great - beautiful
sound, flawless intonation. Assuming that your clarinet is a good
instrument, a good repair tech should be able to put it into top notch
condition for less money than either of the new clarinets you mention.

Just a thought - I'm not trying to put the instrument makers out of
business!
