Speaking of mouthpiece comparisons...

When I signed on the list I was asking for some mouthpiece advice. Only
one person answered me, privately, and I got some good information but
still haven't done anything. He was suggesting that I try some good
student mouthpieces, since I'm a little out of practice and don't know
what I want anyway. However, I still think I might want to go right for
something a step up since I have been playing for over 30 years, albeit
sporadically.

One thing that was suggested was that it would help to know what the
nature of the mouthpiece I'm used to is, since I know nothing about
facing lengths and openings and such. Can anyone tell me? This old
Noblet, Paris (that's all it says on it) is about all I've ever known.
Where would it fall in the spectrum? The clarinet is a LeBlanc Normandy.
