A clarinet quartet that uses a low C bass clarinet is Three Preludes by
George Gershwin arranged by Gareth Brady and published by Comus
Publications. It has a good bass clarinet part overall. First part is for
Eb, second and third are both for Bb and A clarinet.

Subject: [kl] Chamber music with bass clarinet
Greetings all!
I've recently started doubling on bass clarinet, and will probably
take a borrowed low-C bass to a chamber music camp. So I'm
looking for interesting and fun chamber music involving bass clarinet.
Any suggestions:
Parameters:
1. I'm more interested at the moment in music not *only* for clarinet
ensemble, i.e. including non-clarinets. But I'd love to hear
about exceptionally wonderful clarinet quartets involving bass too.
2. Not too avant-garde. The place I'm going to doesn't have too many
other people into that sort of thing.
I already have Janacek's Mladi, and can read reasonable bassoon
parts to practice transposition if nothing else reasonable shows up...
Thanks, Martin
