|Nope. Trust me on this one. It may look like a bari, but Lisa calls it a
|tenor saxaphone. I'm such a huge fanatic that I recall an episode where
Lisa
|broke her reed before a recital, and asked Homer to go to King Toot's Music
|Store and buy a 41/2 Tenor Sax reed!

You are referring to one of the earlier episodes, and the Simpsons were very
inconsistant back then. (Trust me on this one too) She has a Bari Sax. It is
absolutely a Bari Sax. Check out this Seasons episode "Lisa's Sax", and
you'll hear Bari.

Though I am not as sure, you may be right that what she played at the
recital where Homer decided to go for a beer, rather than a reed, was a
Tenor sax. Remember, Bleeding Gums played Tenor (or was it alto?) before he
died.

And in response to the "it is inconcievable how a 4' girl can play a bari",
remember, the Simpsons are in a 2-D enviroment. There is no such thing as
height! Just length and width (as seen in "Homer3" of Treehouse of Horror 4)

But , in "Lisa's Sax" I was disappointed that they didn't mention a
"clarimanet". Oh sure... "obamaboes" and "tubamabas" are all sooo much more
popular...
