Hi Jason,

I certainly agree with you! Fingering different notes than the ones being
played, fingering notes at the wrong time, using same two or three fingers
for all of the notes, etc. How about holding a flute out to the left? How
about some of the crazy embouchures? How about breathing while notes are
being played, (they must know some bagpipe players)? How about calling an
Alto Saxophone a Tenor Saxophone? What about clarinetists that look like
the're going to take a drink from the clarinet? On and on, of course!

What gets me about the whole thing is that musicians need to work too! Why
not give the job, (in a commercial, for example) to whoever is actually
playing the music? Sure he's already being paid for playing the music, but
I imagine he'd make more money if they also showed him in the act of playing
the music! The same would be true for instrumentalists that have
unimportant parts in a movie. Often, very little acting is required and
who's to say that a musician couldn't do the acting either if he wanted to?
