For the first movement, my edition (Schirmer, I think) also says 108, but for
an audition a while back I played it at about 120 and the judge didn't mind.
As many other people have said, music is open to interpretation and as long as
you don't blow the piece by distorting the tempo *too* much it shouldn't be a
problem. I have a recordings of Antony Pay as well as Sabine Meyer doing it,
and I don't know exactly what speed it's at but it's definitely faster than
108.
