I mentioned this before about the Rose Etudes, but.....
A tempo marking is not set in stone. Every artist has the freedom to play the
piece at a tempo they wish to acheive their desired expression. However, it
should be known that going to far off the tempo is bad because you upstage the
composer who gave us this piece.
