They sound a little like Vibrators, except that Vibrators had longitudinal
grooves cut in the top, and their butt ends were not rounded. Anyone
remember Vibrators?

Which reminds me - I used to use My Masterpiece reeds, when I was playing
in various big bands. They were remarkably uniform in quality, and I still
have part of a box somewhere. They aren't around any more either, are they?
